Remember the Golden Retriever's that come into rescue are in transition. Although we do have goldens that come in who are perfect, many times they have experienced difficult times. They may have health issues, they may have been shaved and do not have their beautiful golden coat (it does grow back) they may be over or underweight and need healthy and nutritious food. Some of the goldens will have training requirements that take time and energy on your part. The one thing that they all have in common is that they all need love and acceptance for who they are and what they are going through at this time in their lives.
Sometimes we know alot about a rescued golden, but sometimes we don't know very much at all about these wonderful dogs. They could be strays, they could be shelter dogs, they could have been left in a backyard for an owner never to return. Are you willing to give a dog such as this an opportunity at a new life?
We can work with you in rescuing a dog that is housebroken, if required, prefer a more mellow personality or on the other hand would like a dog that can run and jump and play with you, however, if you have very particular requirements for a golden, such as the color or size or shape of the head or will only consider a very young puppy, it may be rescue is not the avenue for you and we would recommend you research and find a reputable breeder.
We reserve the right to deny anyone to foster/adopt at the discretion of the GRRSN BOD.
PLEASE NOTE: All of the fields on the application form are set as REQUIRED. This means that each question needs to be answered for the form to be submitted successfully.
