In Memory of the Rescued Goldens Waiting at the Bridge
And Their Friends
We thought of you with love today.
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart.

This donation is made in memory of our first rescue golden we fostered, Louie. Louie passed away in the Spring of 2011. Louie taught Gretchen and me how important it is to take in Golden's' needing a temporary home until a new forever home can be found. It is amazing how one golden can change your life forever. This donation is in memory of Molly, one of our many foster Golden's, who passed away from seizures earlier this year. Molly loved her walks and could not wait for the door to open to the world she loved to explore. Her newly adopted family did everything possible to make her as happy and comfortable as possible, hoping she could overcome her illness. But, in the end she also crossed the Rainbow bridge and is awaiting our arrival. Gretchen and Brian

The Legend of Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When a pet dies that has been especially close to a person here on earth,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are beautiful meadows and grassy hills there for all our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is always plenty of their favorite food to eat, plenty of fresh spring water for them to drink, every day is filled with sunshine,so or little friends are warm and comfortable.
The pets who had been ill and old are restored to health and youth; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by.
The pets we loved are happy and content, except for one small thing; each one misses someone very special to them who was left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
With your beloved pet by your side, you will cross the Rainbow Bridge together.
Your Sacred Circle is now complete again.
