In Memory of the Rescued Goldens Waiting at the Bridge
And Their Friends

We thought of you with love today.
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.

We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart.

Brian and Gretchen Erga in Memory of Samantha......  I knew her for only 30 minutes but she was a wonderful German Shepard mix. While driving Saturday I came upon a police car with its lights flashing. As I slowly passed I saw this wonderful dog rolling back and forth in terrible pain; hit and run. I pulled over and ran to the dog, the officer said Animal Services was more than an hour out. A lady then stoped and tells me of a animal hospital nearby. I picked her up, put her in my truck and drove to the hospital where I ran in with her in my arms yelling "This is an Emergency HELP." We were taken back and an IV was inserted to releive the pain. No Chip was found, but she had a severe head injury, and severe bone cancer in both front legs. She needed X-rays, but the cancer would take her in weeks. I was told the best thing was to put her down, which I agreed to do while I cried. They asked me to name her, so I named her Samanatha, she crossed the rainbow bridge moments later. She will be cremated and I will lay her to rest in a safe spot.

Gretchen and Brian Erga:  Our beloved Skipper went to the Rainbow Bridge this morning, and is awaiting our arrival. We were blessed with over 8 years of unconditional love until he lost his battle with cancer. Or, as Gretchen and I believe, the Lord called Skipper back early because he needed a very special Golden by his side to retrieve tennis balls for him when he visits the Rainbow Bridge and the other Goldens who await us. Skipper was a very special Golden; he would spend all night guarding us, the pack, till daylight, he would protect his sister Bailey from any other dog who might do harm, and he always returned the tennis ball to whoever first threw it for him. He loved the boat and guarded it from the "evil seals" that swam nearby. His favorite time was resting on the bow his dingy, in the warm sun, while it floated behind the big boat. Skipper did have a wonderful life; every day was a holiday. And, I know he wills all his toys and good times ahead in life to those who have not been so lucky. God Bless

The Legend of Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When a pet dies that has been especially close to a person here on earth,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are beautiful meadows and grassy hills there for all our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is always plenty of their favorite food to eat, plenty of fresh spring water for them to drink, every day is filled with sunshine,
so or little friends are warm and comfortable.

The pets  who had been ill and old are restored to health and youth; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by.

The pets we loved are happy and content, except for one small thing; each one misses someone very special to them who was left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet,  so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
With your beloved pet by your side, you will cross the Rainbow Bridge together.

Your Sacred Circle is now complete again.
